 About Padworth

The Civil Parish of Padworth is approximately rectangular in shape and measures 2½ miles from south to north stretching from the Hampshire border on the ridge on the southern side of the Kennet Valley to the A4 (Bath Road). It is bounded on the east by Ufton Nervet, Beenham to the North, Mortimer West End to the South and on the west by Aldermaston.

The boundary runs from Padworth Common to the south, to A4 Bath Road covering Rectory Road, Silver Lane, Sopers Lane and Padworth Lane. To the west along the A340 Padworth it covers Oak End Way, Wharfside, Watson Close, Stowe Close, Mill Lane, Orchard Dene Drive and Fallows Road, (which is also part of Aldermaston Wharf)

Padworth Parish sits in the Ward of Aldermaston and in the constituency of Wokingham within the Unitary authority of West Berkshire.

The area covered is 5.71 sq Km, 2.20 sq mi, and has 919 residents (West Berkshire Population Statistics 2011).

We are a small friendly Parish with an informal culture, and links to other Parishes, mainly Aldermaston and Beenham due to Aldermaston Wharf being divided into three Parish Councils (covering Padworth, Aldermaston and Beenham).
